Marshfield girls basketball loses to D.C. Everest, Eau Claire North

The Marshfield girls basketball team dropped two games over the weekend, losing a Wisconsin Valley Conference contest at home to D.C. Everest 51-47 on Friday and falling at Eau Claire in a nonconference tilt Saturday 62-53.

Marshfield trailed for most of Friday’s game, closing a double-digit lead to three late, but could never fully recover in losing its fourth conference game in a row.

Danielle Minsaas scored 20 points to lead the way for the Tigers.

Marshfield led 34-33 at halftime at Eau Claire North on Saturday, but was outscored by 10 in the second half.

Maddie Michaelis had 23 points and Madison Voss scored a season-high 12 in the loss for the Tigers.

Marshfield (3-11, 1-7 Wisconsin Valley Conference) returns to action Friday at Wausau East.
