MARSHFIELD – Columbus Catholic scored six points in the final 15 seconds to slip past Fall Creek 90-87 in a wild nonconference boys basketball game Saturday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

Columbus trailed 87-84 before Grant Olson was fouled with 15 seconds to go. He made two free throws and the Dons set up a full-court press, which worked perfectly. Sam Wilczek stole the inbounds pass and scored on a layup with 12.2 seconds to go, putting the Dons on top 88-87.

Fall Creek threw away the inbound pass again, this time it was Jadon Nienast with the steal. He was fouled, sank two more free throws with 7 seconds to go, and the Dons held on for the win after posting a 63-point second half.

Nienast finished with 30 points, Olson added 15 points, Wilczek had 12 and Eden Jacobson 11 for Columbus Catholic, which improves to 11-5.

Luke Olson led Fall Creek (14-3) with 26 points.
