EDGAR – Edgar outscored Stratford by nine points in the second half to pull away for a 51-37 win in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Monday night at Edgar High School.
Edgar led 17-14 after a low-scoring first half, then outscored the Tigers 34-23 in the second half to earn its seventh-straight win.
With the victory, the Wildcats (13-2 overall) pull into a first-place tie with Auburndale in the Marawood South at 9-1.
Stratford shot just 34 percent (12 of 35) from the field in the loss.
Camden Daul had 15 points and Cody Miller scored 13 for Stratford (7-6, 3-5 Marawood South). Both made three 3-pointers.
Both teams will be back in action Tuesday on the road. Edgar will be at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption and Stratford will be at Wausau Newman Catholic.
