STRATFORD – Emily Hughes had 16 points and nine rebounds as the Stratford girls basketball team doubled up Marathon 54-27 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Friday night at Stratford High School.
Hughes made eight of nine shots from the field as Stratford shot 53 percent overall (23 of 44) in the win.
Breanna Ackley and Makenna Leonhardt each added 14 points for the Tigers, who are now 11-7 overall and 9-3 in the Marawood Conference South Division.
Stratford wraps up its regular-season schedule at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Monday. With a win, the Tigers would earn at least a tie for the conference title.
Hope Krautkramer scored 11 points for Marathon (9-13, 5-7 Marawood South).
