AUBURNDALE – Hunter Wright had 26 points and nine rebounds to lead the Auburndale boys basketball team to a 69-55 win over Wausau Newman Catholic in a Marawood Conference South Division game Monday night at Auburndale High School.
Wright made 10 of 16 shots from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, as Auburndale improves to 15-4 overall and 12-3 in the Marawood South.
Schuyler Gilhausen added 11 points and Terrance Roberson nine points for the Eagles.
Newman Catholic (12-8, 8-7 Marawood South) made eight 3-pointers, including four from Isaac Seidel, who had a team-high 20 points.
Auburndale will wrap up its regular-season and conference schedule with a Marawood crossover game Thursday at home against Marawood North Division champion Athens.
