LOYAL – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team clinched at least a tie for the Cloverbelt Conference East Division title with a 60-56 come-from-behind win over Loyal on Tuesday night at Loyal High School.

Loyal led 27-24 at halftime before the Dons mounted a comeback to pull out the victory.

Columbus Catholic is now 17-5 overall and 12-1 in the Cloverbelt East with one game remaining, at Spencer on Thursday. The Dons hold a one-game lead over Neillsville, who finishes its conference schedule Thursday at home against Greenwood.

Eden Jacobson and Jadon Nienast each scored 13 points for the Dons.

Deagen Sandelier had 18 points for Loyal (7-9, 5-8 Cloverbelt East).
