The 2021 WIAA State Boys Hockey and State Girls Hockey Championships was Feb. 18 and Feb. 20.
Semifinals in the Division 1 and Division 2 boys state tournaments were held Thursday, Feb. 18, and the girls tournament semifinals were Wednesday, Feb. 17. All games were held at the higher-seeded team’s home arena, or a neutral site.
All three championship games were be held Saturday, Feb. 20, at the South Wood County Rink in Wisconsin Rapids.
Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs repeated at Division 2 boys state champion, while Verona, the D-1 champ in 2020, was shutout by Hudson in its bid to repeat.
Chippewa Falls/McDonell won the girls state title with a 3-2 overtime win over University School of Milwaukee, claiming its first state title.
