EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys basketball team had its season come to an end with a 65-44 loss to Eau Claire North in a WIAA Division 1 regional quarterfinal Tuesday night at North High School.
No. 3 seed Eau Claire North (12-7) moves on to a regional semifinal at No. 2 seed La Crosse Central (8-1) on Friday. No. 5 Wisconsin Rapids (7-12) plays at No. 1 Eau Claire Memorial (12-8) in the other semifinal, with the winners meeting in the regional championship game Saturday.
Marshfield ends its season with a 2-18 record, losing its final 13 games.
Marshfield fell behind 26-19 at halftime and couldn’t recover as North put up 39 points in the second half to pull away.
Sam Roherty had 11 points and Wyatt LeMoine scored 10 for the Tigers.
Chad Kron led the Huskies with 25 points and Roscoe Rennock chipped in 19.
