According to reports from Zaleski Sports, Cochrane-Fountain City High School athletic director Lance Litchfield announced that his school’s girls basketball team has forfeited Thursday’s WIAA Division 4 sectional semifinal game against Auburndale.
The forfeit comes as a result of a close contact to a positive Covid test to one of the members of the CFC team. As a result, Auburndale (18-4) will travel to Bangor (18-2) for a Division 4 sectional final on Saturday.n The winner moves on to next week’s WIAA state tournament. The time has not been announced.
Bangor advanced to the sectional final due to forfeit from Hillsboro.
