SCHOFIELD – Marshfield had 12 top-three finishes, four from senior Wyatt LeMoine, at the D.C. Everest Boys Track Quadrangular on Thursday at Stiehm Stadium.
Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids also competed at the season-opening meet. Team scores were not reported.
LeMoine won the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches) and the triple jump (43-0), was second in the long jump (20-11 ¼), and placed third in the 400 meters (55.03 seconds) for the Tigers.
Marshfield’s other victory came from Henry Hoerneman, who won the 3,200 meters in 10:31.97.
Other second-place finishes for Marshfield came from Jaiger Halvorson in the 400 (54.69), Graham Lonsdale in the 800 (2:13.97), Carson Kvernen in the 300 hurdles (45.27), the 800 relay team of Chase Hinson, Austin Drevlow, Dane Tollefson and Hoerneman (1:44.43), and the 3,200 relay team of Hoerneman, Myles Jensen, Seth Oemig and James Ketterer (9:25.02).
Trevor Foemmel was third in the 110-meter hurdles (20.32 seconds), and the 1,600 relay team of Matthew Donovan, Halvorson, Vaughn Kolbeck and Logan Mueller also finished third in 3:58.02 for the Tigers.
Marshfield will host a quadrangular meet on Monday, its first ever at Heiting Community Stadium.
