Phillips shuts down Stratford softball

STRATFORD – Jada Eggebrecht threw six shutout innings after allowing a run in the first inning, propelling Phillips to an 11-1 win over Stratford in a nonconference softball game Friday at Hilgemann Field.

Megan Deleaskey and Kendall Weik each had two hits and two RBIs, and Debyl also knocked in two runs for the Loggers (2-1).

Tessa Berg had two of Stratford’s six hits and knocked in the Tigers’ lone run in the first, plating Wenzel.

Stratford (2-1) opens its Marawood Conference South Division schedule Monday at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption. The game will be broadcast online at zaleskisports.com.
