Bauman throws second no-hitter as Stratford baseball blanks Assumption

STRATFORD – Riley Bauman tossed his second five-inning no-hitter of the young season as the Stratford baseball team pounded Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 10-0 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Friday at the Tiger Stadium baseball field.

Bauman struck out four and walked two in completing the no-hitter, Stratford’s third overall this year.

Jack Klatt took the loss, striking out two in four innings, for Assumption (2-3, 0-2 Marawood South).

Cam Daul went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and Gavin Kirsch had two hits and drove in two for the Tigers’ offense.

Stratford improves to 5-0 and 2-0 in the Marawood South after sweeping the two-game series with Assumption this week.

Both teams hit the road for nonconference Marawood crossover games on Friday. Assumption will be at Athens and Stratford at Chequamegon.
