STRATFORD – The Colby girls and Edgar boys won team titles at the Stratford Track Invitational on Thursday at Tiger Stadium.
Auburndale was third and Stratford sixth in the girls standings, and Auburndale was third and Stratford fourth in the boys standings.
Edgar’s Morgan Schnelle won the 100 and 200 meters
Auburndale had victories from Erricka Zenner in the girls 800 (2:38.48), the girls 3,200 relay team of Jordyn Karl, Zenner, Autumn Richardson and Lily Kloos (11:01.00), Terrance Roberson in the boys 100 (11.66) and the long jump (19 feet, 11 inches), Mason White Eagle in the boys 400 (59.21), Jesse Fowler in the boys discus (130-4), and three boys relay teams. The 400 team of Parker Empey, Austin Quinlan, Gavin White Eagle and Roberson won in 46.50; the same four won the 800 relay in 1:37.54; and the 1,600 team of Empey, Charles Jewell, Carl Lundgren and Gavin White Eagle won in 3:42.79.
Stratford did not win any events. Sarah Zuelke was second in the girls 400 (1:11.09), Addison Schafer was second in the boys 400 (59.58), Noah Lucio took second in the boys 800 (2:10.45) and Weigel took second in the triple jump (36-9.25).
Auburndale hosted its own invitational on April 29, with the Neillsville boys and Colby girls winning the team titles.
Auburndale was third, Stratford fourth, Columbus Catholic tied for fifth and Spencer eighth in the boys standings in the 10-team meet.
In the girls standings, Auburndale was third, Stratford fifth, Spencer sixth, and Columbus Catholic eighth.
Local winners including the Auburndale girls 400, 800 and 3,200 relays, Columbus Catholic’s Eden Jacobson in the boys 100 (11.88) and 200 (24.54), the Stratford boys 800 relay team, Auburndale’s Terrance Roberson in the boys 400 (53.07) and long jump (21-10), the Auburndale 400 and 1,600 boys relay teams, Carl Lundgren in the boys 3,200 (11:07.63), Jesse Fowler in the boys discus (143-11), Auburndale’s Mia Meissner in the girls long jump (15-2), Auburndale’s Mason White Eagle in the high jump (5-6), Spencer’s Leah Zastrow in the pole vault (10-0), Stratford’s Drey Drexler in the shot put (43-1), and Stratford’s Jaiydn Wright in the girls triple jump (32-4) and Alexis Folz in the girls discus (87-3).
