WIAA announces venue, schedule changes to upcoming baseball, softball, boys golf state tournaments

STEVENS POINT – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association has identified 2021 spring state tournament event locations, venues and schedules for boys golf, baseball and softball.

The locations, venues and schedules for the boys golf, baseball and softball state tournaments have been altered from some of their traditional formats and locations in continued accommodations to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

The 2021 WIAA State Boys Golf Tournament will be held June 14-15 in Wisconsin Dells. The Division 1 tournament will be at Wild Rock Golf Club, and the Division 2 & 3 tournaments will be at Trappers Turn Golf Club. The tournament had been scheduled to be held at University Ridge Golf Club in Madison.

The 2021 WIAA State Baseball Tournament will be still be conducted at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, but with a slightly different schedule and one change.

The Division 1 quarterfinals will held Friday, June 25, at Herr-Baker Stadium at Marian University in Fond du Lac beginning at 9 a.m.

The remainder of the tournament will be conducted at Fox Cities Stadium. Division 4 semifinals and the championship game will be on Monday, June 28, with the Division 3 semifinals and championship on Tuesday, June 29, the Division 2 semifinals and championship on Wednesday, June 30, and the Division 1 semifinals and championship on Thursday, July 1.

The 2021 WIAA State Softball Tournament has been moved from the University of Wisconsin in Madison to Green Bay.

The Division 1 quarterfinals will be played Monday, June 28, at Bay Port High School beginning at 8 a.m.

The remainder of the tournament will be held at King Park on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus.

The Division 5 and Division 1 semifinals, and the Division 5 championship will be Monday, June 28, the Division 3 and 4 semifinals and championship games will be Tuesday, June 29, and the Division 2 semifinals and championship, and Division 1 championship games will be Wednesday, June 30.

The WIAA has yet to announce any changes to the state tournament venues and schedules for the track & field, girls soccer and boys tennis tournaments.
