EDGAR – The Stratford baseball team overcame seven errors and five walks to defeat Edgar 9-5 in a battle of Marawood Conference South Division leaders Tuesday at Edgar High School.
Riley Bauman hit a home run and drove in two, Cam Daul had a double and two RBIs, Max Vanderhoof also knocked in two, and Colten Schillinger had three of Stratford’s eight hits in the win.
The Tigers remain undefeated at 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Marawood South, while Edgar drops its first game of the year and is now 5-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Drew Guden had three hits and Austin Dahlke drove in a pair of runs for Edgar.
The two teams will meet again at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at Stratford.
