STRATFORD – Edgar had 19 hits, including eight doubles, and scored multiple runs in five different innings on its way to a 15-7 win over Stratford in a Marawood Conference South Division softball game Thursday at Hilgemann Field.
Edgar scored in six of its seven at-bats, with seven different players having multi-hit efforts.
Reagan Borchardt went 4-for-5 with two RBIs, Skylee Manecke had three hits and three RBIs, and five others had two hits in the win for the Wildcats (7-2, 3-1 Marawood South).
Tessa Berg went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs, and Maria Schoenfuss had a double and knocked in two for Stratford (3-7, 0-4 Marawood South).
Both teams host nonconference games on Friday. Stratford will play Athens and Edgar will be at home against Prentice.
