SCHOFIELD – D.C. Everest swept the team titles with Marshfield placing second in both the girls and boys standings at the D.C. Everest Track Quadrangular on Monday at Stiehm Stadium.
The D.C. Everest girls finished with 92 points and Marshfield was second with 49. The D.C. Everest boys racked up 81½ points, with the Tigers second with 45.
Marshfield had seven event winners and a number of runner-up finishes.
Winners for the Marshfield girls were the 3,200-meter relay team Jerica Mueller, Meghan Jaeger, Eliana Kanitz and Calleigh Kanitz (10:31.43), Michaela Dick in the 300 hurdles (48.21 seconds), and Jaeger in the 3,200 (12:48.55).
Marshfield senior Wyatt LeMoine won three field events – the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches), the long jump (21-3½), and the triple jump (42-¼). Henry Hoerneman added a win for the Tigers, taking first in the 3,200 (10:35.34).
Second-place finishers for Marshfield were: Lizzie Hanson in the 100 hurdles (17.51), Ashley Grancorvitz in the long jump (15-1¼), Sophie Nikolay in the pole vault (10-0), Aubri Brown in the shot put (32-11½), Jaiger Halvorson in the 400 (55.72), Luke LeMoine in the high jump (5-6), the girls 400 relay team of Olivia Page, Hanson, Ariana Smith, Tayllor Thompson (53.47), the girls 800 relay team of Peyton Daul, Rylee Corteen, Ellie Jensen and Thompson (1:54.72), and the boys 3,200 relay team of Graham Lonsdale, James Ketterer, David McKee and Seth Oemig (9:03.95).
Marshfield will host a triangular meet on Tuesday, May 25, at Heiting Community Stadium.
