Stratford baseball wins at Wausau Newman to remain in first place in Marawood South

WAUSAU – Riley Bauman smacked another home run and was one of three Stratford batters with two RBIs as the Tigers defeated Wausau Newman Catholic 14-6 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Thursday at Brockmeyer Park.

Bauman also earned the win on the mound, striking out four in 4 1/3 innings. Max Vanderhoof and Braeden Schueller both had two RBIs, and Cam Daul, Gavin Kirsch and Schueller each had two hits in the win for the Tigers (10-1, 5-1 Marawood South).

Ben Noll had a home run and three RBIs for Newman Catholic (2-7, 1-5 Marawood South).

Stratford plays at Abbotsford/Colby on Friday.
