MARSHFIELD – Marshfield swept all seven matches in straight sets to down Wisconsin Rapids 7-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys tennis match Thursday at Boson Tennis Complex.
The Tigers improve to 2-1 in WVC duals this season, moving into third place in the conference standings.
Marshfield lost a total of 16 games in the seven matches.
Ryan Paulman led the way at No. 1 singles, beating Casey Christensen 6-3, 6-1. Other winners for the Tigers in singles were Sam Roherty, Dillon Scheuer and Brian Fay, and in doubles Justin Rachu-Josh Grissman, Payton Smith-Kennan Chojnacki, and Ian Sennholz and Corbin Krueger.
Marshfield’s match against Wausau East on Friday was postponed to May 28. The Tigers will play separate duals at Onalaska and La Crosse Central on Saturday before hosting a triangular meet on Monday.
