GREENWOOD – Greenwood plated six runs in the fourth inning to pull away and defeat Spencer 11-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Friday.

The Indians scored in all five of their at-bats, but the big six-run fourth blew up a close game.

Jonah Hinker had two hits and two RBIs, and Mason Learman had a pair of singles and drove in four runs to pace the Greenwood offense.

Cooper Bredlau earned a complete game win for Greenwood, scattering five hits and striking out five.

Matt Clark drove in Kyler Bainer with Spencer’s only run in the fourth inning.

Greenwood is now 7-6 overall and 5-2 in the Clovebelt East. Spencer drops to 2-7 and 2-4 in conference play.

Spencer hosts Athens for a nonconference game Monday before both teams return to Cloverbelt East action Tuesday. Spencer will be at Granton and Greenwood will play at Loyal.
