MARSHFIELD – Spencer scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to squeak past Columbus Catholic 7-6 in a Cloverbelt Conference baseball game Thursday at Jack Hackman Field.
Andrew Sieracki had two hits, including a double, and drove in four for the Rockets, who run their record to 4-9 overall and 4-5 in the Cloverbelt East.
Columbus Catholic drops to 10-8 overall and finishes its Cloverbelt East schedule with a 6-4 record. The Dons will play a nonconference game at Pittsville on Monday and will host Phillips to wrap up their regular season Tuesday.
Dom Post had two hit and scored twice, and Kyler Bainer had a triple and scored for the Rockets.
Blake Jakobi had two hits and Grant Olson drove in two runs for the Dons.
The Rockets play at Owen-Withee on Friday.
