MARSHFIELD – Sam Casperson, Hailey Zimmermann and Rhya Dieringer each had three hits to pace the Columbus Catholic softball team to a 16-1 rout of Spencer on Thursday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
The Dons had 14 hits and scored in all four of their at-bats, ending the game by the 15-run rule with a six-run fourth innings.
Casperson drove in three runs, and Zimmermann, Mattea Schlafke and Cierra Dieringer both had two RBIs in the win.
Spencer (1-14, 1-9 Cloverbelt East) was held to two hits.
Columbus Catholic (5-7, 4-5 Cloverbelt East) hosts Colby/Abbotsford and Spencer is at Owen-Withee on Friday.
