PARK FALLS – The Auburndale softball team scored eight runs in the first inning and rolled to a 15-4 win over Chequamegon in a nonconference game Saturday.
The Eagles (14-4) added two in the third and five in the fourth to win via the 10-run rule after five innings.
Samantha Stanton struck out six and walked two in a complete-game effort on the mound for Auburndale.
The Eagles smacked 14 hits, including three each from Kaitlyn Kundinger and Erin Griesbach. Both added two RBIs.
Ashlyn Grimm had two hits and three RBIs, and Hailey Grimm also had a pair of hits for Auburndale.
The Eagles play a nonconference game at Mosinee on Monday.
