Mosinee edges Stratford baseball, ends Tigers’ win streak at nine

STRATFORD – The Stratford baseball team had its nine-game winning streak snapped with a 2-1 loss to Mosinee in a nonconference game Monday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.

Kale Weisenberger suffered a tough loss for Stratford (16-2) as he struck out 11, walked two and allowed just three hits in a complete-game effort.

Tanner Unertl had two hits for Mosinee (13-6).

Hunter Ford went 3-for-3 and drove in the Tigers’ only run.

Stratford hosts Marshfield in its final regular-season game Wednesday at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com. Stratford will finish its regular season Thursday at 4:30 p.m. against Rhinelander.
