OWEN – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball team needed just three innings to take care of Owen-Withee, winning 22-6 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division finale for both teams on Tuesday.
The Dons scored six times in the opening inning and quickly put the game away with a 14-run second.
Haley Van Whye and Breanna Duda each had two hits and three RBIs, and Sam Casperson and Alyssa Rueth also had two hits apiece for the Dons (6-9, 5-7 Cloverbelt East).
Columbus Catholic will play a WIAA Division 5 regional semifinal at Port Edwards on Monday.
