MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield American Legion baseball team was held to three runs in two games as it dropped a doubleheader to Viroqua on Friday at Jack Hackman Field.
Viroqua won 11-1 and 6-2 to improve to 23-3 this summer. Marshfield is now 8-8 after seeing its losing streak extended to five.
Marshfield was held to five hits in the opener. Jackson Ormond drove in Adam Zee with the Blue Devils’ only run.
Riley Bauman and Noah Grimm had RBIs for Marshfield in Game 2. Zee had two of Marshfield’s seven hits.
Marshfield will host Chippewa Falls for another doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both games will be live at zaleskisports.com.
