PITTSVILLE – The Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team scored multiple runs in four different innings and cruised to a 12-4 win over the Pittsville River Bandits on Sunday afternoon.
Caleb Krommenakker threw six strong innings for the Chaparrals (10-6), striking out six and walking just one. Cole Hediger picked up the save, allowing two runs in three innings of work.
The top two hitters in Marshfield’s lineup, Isaiah Baierl and Nathan Krommenakker, each went 3-for-5, with Baierl scoring four times and Krommenakker scoring three runs and driving in four with a pair of doubles.
Jason Kurth added three hits and three RBIs, and Will Lee drove in a pair as well for the Chaparrals.
Ryan Schwanebeck had four hits and two RBIs, and Ben Buettner went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Pittsville.
Marshfield will play at the Everest Merchants on Thursday.
