RICE LAKE – The Marshfield girls golf team finished 10th at the 14-team Rice Lake Invitational on Thursday at Turtleback Golf Club.
New Richmond won the team title with a score of 325, eight shots ahead of Tomah. Stevens Point was fifth with a 374 and Marshfield 10th with a 437.
Laine Veenendall of New Richmond and Riley Pechinski of Stevens Point tied for medalist honors with 75s.
Brielle Lenz led Marshfield with a 99, tying for 31st place. Lili Anaya added a 102, Sophie Lee and Ellie Mechler each shot 118, and McKenzie Holm had a 120 for the Tigers.
Marshfield and Stevens Point are scheduled to play in the first Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament leg of the season on Friday at Crane Meadows Golf Course in Wausau on Friday, weather permitting.
