WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wausau East/West won for the second time this season at the fourth leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Ridges Golf Course.
East/West had a score of 188, 16 shots ahead of Wisconsin Rapids. Stevens Point was third with a score of 210, D.C. Everest fourth with a 214, and Marshfield fifth with a 215.
East/West and Stevens Point are now tied for the lead in the overall team standings with two meets remaining – Friday at Marshfield Country Club and Sept. 17 at Tribute Golf Course in Wausau.
Talia Schlindwein of Wausau East/West was meet medalist with a 43. Other individual scores other than Marshfield’s were not reported.
Brielle Lenz took ninth place with a 50, and Ellie Mechler, McKenzie Holm, Lili Anaya, and Riana Manlick all shot 55s to tie for 14th for Marshfield
