MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys soccer team scored in the final minutes to earn a 1-1 tie with Wausau East in a Wisconsin Valley Conference match Thursday night at Heiting Community Stadium.
Sam Bunnell broke a scoreless tie with a goal for Wausau East (0-4-1, 0-2-1 WVC) in the 65th minute.
Marshfield (2-2-1, 1-2-1 WVC) evened the match as junior Maahir Patel scored in the 74th minute and neither team scored the rest of the way as the game finished in a tie.
Marshfield will be home again Tuesday against Wausau West at 7 p.m. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
