Columbus Catholic volleyball claws back to edge Stratford

MARSHFIELD – Dorci Walker had 20 kills and 18 digs to help Marshfield Columbus Catholic to a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Stratford in a nonconference volleyball match Thursday at Columbus Catholic High School.

Columbus Catholic came back from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Stratford 26-24, 20-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-8.

Courtney Sommer added 11 kills and a team-high 24 assists, Jenna Kibbel added six service aces, eight kills and 15 digs, and Izzy Hoglund had a team-high 21 digs for Columbus Catholic.

Megan Wiese had 14 kills and six digs, Ally Zuleger had 19 assists and four service aces, and Hailey Chapel had 18 assists and five digs for Stratford.

Both teams will compete at the Auburndale Invitational on Saturday.
