Marshfield seniors Jake Lisiecki and Sully Luepke were named to the first team of the 2010 All-Wisconsin Valley Conference football team, as voted on by the seven conference coaches.
Lisiecki, who tied teammate Ian Padron for ninth in the conference with 14 receptions, had 211 yards receiving and two touchdowns for Marshfield and was named first team as a wide receiver.
Luepke was named to the first team as both a kicker and punter. He led the Valley in punting with a 38.7-yard average.
Wisconsin Rapids running back Joe Ritchay was named the WVC offensive player of the year and Merrill senior linebacker Sam Arneson was the defensive player of the year.
Ritchay led conference in scoring with 97 points (11 touchdowns, 23 extra-point kicks, one two-point conversion, two field goals) and was second in rushing with 692 yards.
Arneson, a University of Wisconsin recruit, also was named to the first team on offense as a quarterback.
Stevens Point coach Pete McAdams was named coach of the year after lifting the Panthers to their fifth WVC title in the last six years.
All of the first- and second-team spots on the offensive teams were seniors.
Marshfield had seven second-team selections.
Tight end Tyler Rollins, offensive lineman James Bailey, running back Brad Dolezal, defensive linemen Dylan Wrege and Trevor Peterson, linebacker Justin Sternweis and defensive back Logan Schmitz were second-team choices. All but Peterson and Sternweis are seniors.
Dolezal finished tied for third in the Wisconsin Valley in receptions with 19 for 275 yards and he had six total touchdowns.
Honorable mention choices for Marshfield were senior offensive lineman Tyler Barth, sophomore linebacker Ross Zillman, senior running back Todd Vantassel and junior offensive lineman Brandon Suchomel.
