Wausau East hands Marshfield girls tennis its first conference loss

MARSHFIELD – Wausau East handed Marshfield its first loss in the Wisconsin Valley Conference as it handed the Tigers a 5-2 defeat in girls tennis action Tuesday at the Boson Tennis Complex.

East won three singles matches and two doubles matches to improve to 2-1 in WVC play. Marshfield is now 3-1.

Earning victories for Marshfield were Lucy Luedtke at No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-0), and the No. 3 doubles team of Sam Ridgway and Danielle Minsaas (6-3, 6-4).

Marshfield returns to action Thursday at Wausau West.
