AUBURNDALE – Auburndale scored three times in a five-minute span of the first quarter and went on to rout Rib Lake/Prentice 47-0 in a nonconference football game Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Terrance Roberson scored on a 6-yard run on the Eagles’ first drive, and after a sack by Lucas Yeske that resulted a fumble recovered by Adam Dorshorst, Auburndale drove down the field again and scored on a 20-yard run by Roberson, making it 14-0.
Yeske had another sack as Auburndale held Rib Lake/Prentice to a three-and-out and Alex Willfahrt returned the ensuing punt 75 yards for a touchdown to put the Eagles in control.
Roberson had touchdown runs of 7 and 45 yards, and quarterback Trayton Weber scored from the 5 in the second quarter to push Auburndale’s lead to 41-0 by halftime.
Colton Weiler had a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring for the Eagles (3-1).
Auburndale outgained Rib Lake/Prentice 442-106, racking up 337 yards on the ground. Roberson had 143 yards and Evan Scholl added 85 to lead the way.
Auburndale will host Abbotsford in its Marawood Conference opener next Friday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m.
