GRESHAM – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys soccer team won its seventh-straight Central Wisconsin Conference game as it shut out Gresham/Bowler 6-0 on Thursday.
Alex Edwards scored in the 29th minute on an assist from Grant Olson to give the Dons a 1-0 lead, which they held into halftime.
In the second half, Columbus Catholic’s offense exploded, scoring five times in a 15-minute span.
Olson scored four of the goals, with Sammy Neville assisting on two, and Charlie Moore and Mira Torbey on the others.
Edwards added his second goal on an Olson assist as well.
Lucas Kreklau had five saves in goal for the Dons, who are now 9-1-1 overall and 7-0 in the CWC.
The two teams will meet again at Griese Park in Marshfield on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
