EAU CLAIRE – Grant Olson scored all three of the game’s goals in the first 25 minutes to lift the Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team to a 3-0 shutout of Chippewa Falls McDonell/Eau Claire Regis on Tuesday at Regis High School.
Olson scored in the 7th, 18th, and 25th minutes to give the Dons all of the offense they would need to ride to their ninth-straight victory and 12th game in a row without a loss.
Charlie Moore, Sammy Neville and Alex Edwards assisted the goals scored by Olson, who has 11 goals in Columbus’ last three games.
Columbus Catholic finishes the regular season 13-1-1 heading in to the WIAA playoffs next week. The Dons will host Adams-Friendship in a Division 4 regional semifinal at Griese Park in Marshfield on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 4 p.m.
