SUN PRAIRIE – The Marshfield girls basketball team opened its 2021-22 season with a tough night shooting and dropped a 58-36 decision to Sun Prairie in a nonconference game Thursday at Sun Prairie High School.
The Tigers shot just 17 percent from the field, making 7 of 39 shots, and committed 27 turnovers in the loss. Marshfield made up a little ground at the free throw line, making 21 of 31, but couldn’t overcome its shooting woes from the field.
Abby Ongna had 10 points, making 8 of 12 free throws, and Loryn Jakobi added eight points for Marshfield.
