Marshfield boys basketball loses season opener at Eau Claire Memorial

EAU CLAIRE – The Marshfield boys basketball team dropped its season opener on the road to Eau Claire Memorial 56-49 in a tight contest on Tuesday at Memorial High School.

Memorial led 25-23 at halftime and outscored the Tigers by five points in the second half to earn the victory.

Luke LeMoine had 17 points, Gavin Fravert 11 and Carson Kvernen 10 for Marshfield.

Will Boser led Memorial with 14 points.

Marshfield will travel to Appleton East for a nonconference game on Tuesday, Nov. 30.
