Marshfield boys hockey shuts out Stoughton

TOMAH – Henry Hoerneman and Ian Sennholz each had a pair of goals, and goalie Reed Gieseking had saved all 10 shots he saw as the Marshfield boys hockey team shut out Stoughton 5-0 in the semifinals of the Tomah Boys Hockey Invitational on Friday.

Sennholz scored just 1:53 into the game to give Marshfield the quick lead.

Hoerneman scored both of his goals in the second period and Noah Peterson added another to extend the lead to 4-0.

Sennholz finished off the scoring with a goal with 2:21 left in the game.

Peterson and Peyton Smith each had two assists for the Tigers.

Marshfield will play for the tournament championship against Black River Falls at 4 p.m. Saturday.
