STRATFORD – The Stratford wrestling team finished a perfect 5-0 to take the title at its annual Schoenherr Duals on Saturday at Stratford High School.

The Tigers won duals over Crandon, Southern Door, Wausau East, Barron and Phillips to finish perfect on the day.

Nine Stratford wrestlers went undefeated to earn first-place in their respective weight classes: Trenton Cournoyer at 113 pounds, Logan Gliniecki at 138, Gavin Drexler at 145, Elijah Lucio at 160, Gavin Kirsch at 170, Jackson Ormond at 182, Raife Smart at 195, Cole Marten at 220, and Alex Mueller at 285. Gliniecki won the award for the most pins in the least amount of time.

Dillon Kirsch finished second at 152, going 4-1.

Stratford will host Athens and Auburndale for a Marawood Conference triangular on Thursday starting at 6 p.m. The matches will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
