STOUGHTON – The Marshfield wrestling team finished 2-2 at the Pieper Duals at Stoughton High School on Saturday.
Marshfield defeated Oak Creek 41-28 and Madison LaFollette 70-6, and lost two tight matches to Evansville 37-34 and Stoughton 37-36.
Stoughton finished 4-0 to win the team title.
Hoyt Blaskowski went 4-0 with four pins at 145 pounds, Camren Dennee was 4-0 with two pins and a technical fall at 182, and Brett Franklin was 4-0 with three pins at 160 to finish undefeated for Marshfield.
Marshfield opens its Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet season with a home match against Merrill on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The match will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
