Columbus Catholic boys basketball defeats Regis to stay unbeaten

MARSHFIELD – The Columbus Catholic boys basketball team pulled away in the second half to defeat Eau Claire Regis 79-71 on Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

Sam Wilczek scored a career-high 29 points, Blake Jakobi added 19 points, and Emmitt Konieczny had 12 for the Dons, who remain perfect at 5-0 this season.

Josh Brickner and Alex Leis each scored 14 points for Regis, which falls to 2-3.

Columbus Catholic travels to Owen-Withee for a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday at 7:15 p.m. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
