STRATFORD – The Stratford girls basketball team won its third-straight game, defeating Edgar 42-32 in a Marawood Conference South Division matchup Thursday at Stratford High School.
The Tigers overcame a tough shooting night, making just 10-for-32 from the field, by making 21 of 31 shots at the free throw line to earn the 10-point win and even its season record at 4-4.
Ella Heidmann had 11 points and Bailey Linzmaier added nine for Stratford.
Malia Hoesly had 15 points for Edgar (4-3).
Both teams are now 2-3 in the Marawood South.
Both teams return to action next Tuesday for nonconference games. Edgar will host Mosinee and Stratford will travel to Colby.
