TOMAH – The Marshfield gymnastics team won the team title with a season-high score of 135.95 points on Saturday at the Peppermint Twist Invitational at Tomah High School.
The Tigers edged Sparta, which finished with 135.0 points, and Chippewa Falls (129.325) for the team title.
Hanna Merkel tied for fifth in the all-around with 34 points and also had a second-place finish in the uneven bars with a score of 8.9 for Marshfield.
Ellie Jensen finished second in the balance beam (9.225) and fourth in the uneven bars (8.45), and Jade School was third in the beam (9.175) as they also earned top-five finishes for the Tigers.
Marshfield is off until Dec. 29 when it competes at the Rhinelander Invitational.
