LA CROSSE – Marshfield won nine of the 11 races and defeated La Crosse Central/Logan 117-47 in a nonconference boys swimming meet Tuesday at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Kyle Berres and Simon Dagit each won two individual events for Marshfield, and were both part of two winning relay teams as well.
Berres won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.22 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 53.40 seconds, and Dagit took first in the 100 butterfly in 57.91 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.13.
Berres and Dagit teamed with Graham Lonsdale and Brayden Fischer to win the 200 medley relay in 1:55.14, and with Henry Hilbelink and Lonsdale to win the 400 freestyle relay in 3:48.45.
Fischer, Adam Donahue, Matt Begotka and Hilbelink won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:44.89, Lonsdale took first in the 500 freestyle in 5:58.89, and Hilbelink won the 200 individual medley in 2:28.06 for Marshfield’s other wins.
Marshfield will compete at the Rhinelander Invitational on Dec. 28.
