WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Marshfield swept all 11 races and had six second-place finishes in a 127-43 win over Wisconsin Rapids in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swim meet Tuesday at Lincoln High School.
Kyle Berres won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:56.30 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.88, and Brayden Fischer was first int eh 50 freestyle (25.32 seconds) and the 100 freestyle (57.77) for Marshfield, which is now 4-1 in WVC dual meets. Wisconsin Rapids drops to 2-3.
Henry Hilbelink won the 200 individual medley (2:30.31), Simon Dagit won the 100 butterfly (58.74), Graham Lonsdale took first in the 500 freestyle (5:43.75), and Michael Dick won the 100 breaststroke (1:13.18) for Marshfield’s other individual victories.
Marshfield also won the three relays in the meet.
Both teams return to action Thursday. Wisconsin Rapids will be at home against Wausau East, and Marshfield will travel to D.C. Everest.
