MARSHFIELD – Belia Tangley scored 14 of her 17 points in the second half to lead Eau Claire Memorial to a 45-41 win over Marshfield in nonconference girls basketball action Tuesday at the Chips Hamburgers Fieldhouse at Marshfield High School.
Marshfield led 19-17 at halftime before the Old Abes were able to pull ahead behind Tangley, who hit four of her five 3-pointers in the second half.
Lilly Cayley had a game-high 19 points for Memorial (6-5), scoring nine in the second half as the Old Abes outscored Marshfield by six.
Dani Minsaas had 14 points and Abby Ongna added 13 on the strength of a 7-for-8 performance at the free throw line for the Tigers (5-6).
Marshfield plays at Wausau West in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game on Friday.
