GREENWOOD – The Columbus Catholic boys basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a resounding 81-30 win over Greenwood in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Tuesday at Greenwood High School.
The Dons, who suffered their first loss to Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs at the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Showcase in Mequon last Wednesday, shot 49 percent (30-for-61) and had 12 different players score in the win Tuesday to remain undefeated in the Cloverbelt East at 4-0 and improve to 9-1 overall this season.
Sam Wilczek had 18 points, and Charlie Moore and Emmitt Konieczny each added 13 for Columbus Catholic.
Greenwood statistics were not reported.
Both teams play Cloverbelt East games Friday as Columbus hosts on Loyal and Greenwood travels to Owen-Withee. The Columbus Catholic game will be live at zaleskisports.com at 7:15 p.m.
