MARSHFIELD – Ellie Jensen won the balance beam and the all-around title as the Marshfield gymnastics team defeated Stevens Point 132.7-115.6 in a Great Northern Conference dual meet Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Jensen won the beam with a score of 8.6, was second in the uneven bars (7.95), tied for second with teammate Sophie Nikolay (8.75), and was fifth in the floor exercise (8.55) to finish with an all-around score of 33.85, edging teammate Hanna Merkel by 1/10 of a point.
Merkel won the vault (8.95), Nikolay took first in the floor (8.9) and Solenne Lonsdale won the uneven bars (8.0) for the Tigers.
Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational on Saturday.
