Spencer girls basketball cruises past Colby

SPENCER – Heavyn Kind scored 30 points to lift the Spencer girls basketball team to a 54-33 win over Colby in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Thursday at Spencer High School.

Kind, who had 31 points in the Rockets’ win over Pittsville on Tuesday, drilled four 3-pointers in the victory.

Spencer is now 8-4 overall and 7-1 in the Cloverbelt East, while Colby drops to 2-9 and 1-5 in conference play.

Alexis Vanderhoof had 10 points to lead the Hornets.

Both teams return to action Tuesday as Colby plays a conference game at Granton and Spencer hosts Edgar for a nonconference game.
